• Support the Underwriting Manager in overseeing daily underwriting operations. • Evaluate and approve risks within delegated authority levels. • Mentor and guide underwriting team members; provide training as needed. • Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines, procedures, and risk appetite frameworks. • Review complex or high-value submissions and collaborate on appropriate pricing and coverage recommendations. • Liaise with brokers, banks, agents, and internal departments to ensure smooth business flow and service delivery. • Contribute to underwriting audits and compliance reviews. • Participate in product development and process improvement initiatives • Ensure alignment to the underwriting policy and manual.

• Knowledge on market trends • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision • Good negotiation and influencing skills. • Strong networking and relationship skills. • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills. • Minimum Qualifications: • A minimum of 5 years in underwriting department and at-least 2 years in a senior role in underwriting Department • Relevant Degree in Business preferably in Insurance • Diploma in insurance ACIl or Equivalent
