• Maintenance Operations: • Develop logic diagrams, PLC programs, and design CCR graphic displays for new/revamped equipment. • Ensure integration and commissioning of hardware/software modifications. • Troubleshoot, rectify, record, and report control system equipment failures. • Perform high-quality repairs and communicate findings. • Maintain and calibrate plant instruments (e.g., weigh feeders, gas analyzers, dust monitors, CEMS, fire alarms, VFDs, sensors) per approved schedules. • Integrate and commission new/revamped instruments, ensuring proper documentation. • Request automation spare parts as needed. • Ensure readiness to address emergencies or urgent breakdowns efficiently (N+1 programming). • Plant Optimization Operations: • Revise, test, and distribute General Function Specifications (GFSs) for new/revamped systems. • Certify the development, review, and implementation of Systems Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Optimize control loops/diagrams and design new ones to enhance process/equipment reliability. • Ensure consistent information flow between plant equipment and control systems. • Collaborate with the IT department to install, configure, and operate plant IT tools and expert systems (e.g., QMC, High Level Control, TIS). • Execute weekly work orders per preventive maintenance plans and plant optimization requests. • Propose and implement initiatives for plant optimization, power consumption, cost reduction, and extending equipment electrical life. • Management – Planning & Cost Control: • Implement and test validated Design Change Requests (DCRs) with users, ensuring systematic storage for traceability. • Update software listings, manage passwords, CCR documentation, and DCS alarm/fault lists. • Identify and back up sensitive data as planned. • Support the Electrical Team Leader in controlling the maintenance budget, ensuring effective planning and cost management to maintain a healthy plant control system. • Standards: • Perform duties in compliance with Hima Cement standards for plant control systems. • Provide technical training to plant personnel for correct usage of automated systems. • Ensure compliance with regulations, company goals, rules, local permits, policies, and procedures to optimize internal processes. • OH&S and Environment: • Foster a safety culture in all activities, ensuring zero harm. • Comply with company Health, Safety, and Environment regulations. • Maintain clean and tidy areas of jurisdiction. • Attend Health, Safety, and Environment trainings organized by the plant.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ exposure in electrical and instrumentation maintenance/operations in a busy cement organization. • Working experience with Siemens PCS 7 DCS, S7 PLC family (e.g., S7-300, S7-400), SIMATIC MANAGER, and OPC Servers. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and programming skills (PLC programming, C, VB). • Result-oriented, self-driven, with a high sense of quality and ability to meet tight deadlines. • Strong knowledge of electrical equipment and instrumentation in automated plants. • Understanding of cement manufacturing processes, control loops, expert system control strategies, and Hima Cement operation standards. • Knowledge of cement and intermediate product characteristics/properties. • Familiarity with material transport equipment and operating principles of cement plant equipment (e.g., crushers, vertical roller mills, ball mills, rotary kilns, bag filters, conditioning towers, packing machines, stackers, reclaimers). • Experience applying Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) techniques and basic problem-solving tools. • Profile & Personal Qualities: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective verbal and written communication. • Strong organizational and prioritization skills. • Creativity. • Time and conflict management skills.
