• Master’s degree in mechanical Engineering, Transport Technology, or Industrial Systems from a recognized institution. • Registration with the Uganda Engineers Registration Board and membership in IUPE is mandatory. (Active IUPE membership). • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university. • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years at senior managerial level in a medium – large, sector organization. • Proficiency in modern computer-aided engineering and project management tools, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Excel, Power BI, Access, Word, PowerPoint, ERP and CMMS software. • Demonstrated knowledge of sustainable transport technologies (hybrid, electric, hydrogen locomotives). • Strong leadership in innovation, budgeting, people development, and strategic planning. • Proven ability to manage change, drive digital transformation, and work with diverse teams. • Must be below 55 years of age. • Personal Attributes • Visionary leader with transformational mindset • Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication • Results-oriented with high ethical standards • Adaptability to change and disruptive technologies • Commitment to sustainability and resilience • NOTE: • Only successful candidates will be contacted. • Any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification. • Beware of fraud stars.
