KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supporting the production of content materials
• Produce high quality case studies.
• Produce high quality photos and videos.
• Manage and respond to requests for content or information.
• Research and chase down compelling stories and project information.
• Create and maintain a database with overview of all projects and programmes — identify engaging content opportunities Edit film content into b-rolls.
• Edit photo content.
• Run an archive of staff first person accounts/days in the life on content hub.
• Research and gather facts, stats, information and updates from country projects
• Ensure all information is shared centrallyy on content hub in a timely manner Ensure content is currently uploaded and tagged
• Support the communications coordinator with the development of content of a variety of channels
• Support the team with a content calendar
• Advocacy
• Maintain the government relations system
• Support on the delivery of key events
• Support on the design and development of advocacy capacity building training materials
• Support on the role out of advocacy and communications capacity training to all Save the Children field offices
• Support on advocacy projects as requested
• Monitor requests coming in from field teams
• Communications
• Support the communications coordinator on the delivery of the communications strategy.
• With support from the communications coordinator manage Save the Children’s social media channels.
• Support on the design and development of communications capacity building training materials.
• Create branding and communications materials: social media posts, one pagers, infographics etc.
• Manage communications request system.
• Develop, edit. design and disseminate new content (such as best practice and lesson learning studies).
• Support the organization of on-line and in person convener events, launches. field visits etc.
• Project manage ad-hoc communications support (such as videographers or photographers). from writing the TOR„ to dissemination of finalized products.
• Develop and disseminate communication products such as invitations, podcasts, blogs as relevant.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• At least a bachelor’s degree in communication, Social Sciences or Marketing.
• Enjoy working in a high paced environment with multiple projects and priorities able to deliver to tight deadlines
• 1-2 years minimum experience of working in content marketing/communications
• Excellent skills in proactively researching, identifying and chasing Strong Story leads to deliver engaging new content
• Able to work independently and be able to take own initiative where required
• Experience of using Premiere or Avid to edit b-rolls/film content and editing photography in a professional setting
• Diplomacy and excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent writing skills, ideally with experience of writing up interviews/Case studies
• Strong attention to detail
• Fluency in English
• A commitment and passion to work within an NGO environment
• Commitment to the best practice in ethical and production values for content gathering — constantly seeing to improve standards
• Commitment to the aims and principles of Save the Children. In particular, a good understanding of the Save the Children mandate and child focus and ability to ensure this continues to underpin all aspects of work
• Commitment to Save the Children’s child protection policy
• Experience of working for an international NGO or in international development
• Knowledge of digital fundraising, marketing products or channels
• In-depth understanding of different types of content and uses
• Experience of using InDesign to design infographics and photo-shop of imagery
• Experience Of online archiving systems for photos and film
• Passion for following market trends across NGQ media, corporate, consumer sectors and sharing inspiring ideas
• Good working knowledge Of Ng’akarimojong.
