• Data Collection • Conduct household surveys, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and observation assessments in affected communities. • Use digital tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare) or paper-based forms to collect data. • Follow sampling procedures and data collection protocols provided by the MEAL team. • Community Engagement • Engage respectfully and sensitively with beneficiaries and stakeholders. • Ensure informed consent is obtained and confidentiality is maintained. • Identify and report any feedback, complaints, or protection concerns raised by community members. • Data Quality and Integrity • Review collected data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before submission. • Flag errors, inconsistencies, or concerns to supervisors or MEAL staff promptly. • Adhere to ethical and data protection standards in all field activities. • Coordination and Reporting • Participate in team briefings, debriefings, and daily coordination meetings. • Submit completed tools/forms on time as per agreed schedules. • Provide field updates and share observations relevant to program improvement. • Key Outcomes • High-quality, usable data collected to inform humanitarian response decisions. • Data collection activities are completed on time and to required standards. • Communities feel respected, heard, and engaged during the data collection process. • Early signs of program gaps, needs, or risks are flagged and escalated appropriately. • Work Environment • Field-based, working in affected and often remote areas, sometimes under difficult conditions. • Travel on foot or by vehicle to reach respondents; fieldwork may include long hours. • Requires strict adherence to security, safety, and safeguarding protocols.

• Minimum secondary school education (diploma preferred). • Previous experience in field data collection, surveys, or humanitarian fieldwork an asset. • Familiarity with local context, culture, and languages. • Basic digital literacy; experience using smartphones or tablets for data entry is a plus. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and professionalism. • Core Competencies • Attention to detail • Cultural sensitivity and respect • Ethics and data confidentiality • Teamwork and reliability • Flexibility in challenging environments
