Green Power International (GPI) is hiring a Drilling Machine Operator responsible for operating drilling machinery, ensuring quality control of the operations, and maintaining and using hand tools effectively. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines, performing routine maintenance, monitoring machine performance, and communicating effectively with team members to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate and manage drilling rigs and associated equipment for water borehole projects
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling machines
• Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed at all times
• Collaborate with the project team to meet drilling specifications and timelines
• Conduct site assessments to determine drilling feasibility
• Keep accurate records of drilling operations and materials used

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Minimum Certificate in borehole drilling.
• Proven 2 years of experience as a driller or drilling machine operator (preferably in water/borehole drilling)
• Strong technical and mechanical knowledge of drilling equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic equipment repairs
• Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
• Team player with strong communication skills
