JOB INFORMATION
Job Title	Factory Mechanic & Welder
Reports to (Job Title)	Factory Technician
Department	Production
Location	Spouts of Water factory (Nakawuka)
Country	Uganda

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure that all machinery and equipment in the factory are operating efficiently and safely.

Responsibility
	To conduct repairs, maintenance, welding and fabrication of equipment at factory to ensure smooth running of the production process.
	Perform safety checks and inspections on factory machines and equipment to ensure compliance with all the industrial regulations.
	To aid in machine operation and training on Standard Operating Procedures.
	To assist in the installation and assembling of new machinery and equipment.
	To prepare and maintain records of repairs and maintenance for all machines at the factory to aid in decision making.
	Any other roles added from time to time concerning departmental objectives.

JOB DIMENSIONS
Geographical scope	Uganda

Qualifications	Diploma in mechanical engineering, welding or any other related field.
Qualifications	Proven experience as a factory mechanic, and hands on experience with industrial machinery repairs, and mechanical systems is an added advantage
Experience	2-3 years’ experience in the same role.
Experience	Proficiency in computer skills
Languages	Proficiency in spoken and written English

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The role may require working in shifts depending on the factory’s production schedule
