• Supporting the Managing Director in the development and implementation of strategic plans that align with the organization’s objectives and mission. • Lead cross-functional department teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives, fostering collaboration and accountability. • Analyze overall country operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments, and prepare reports to provide insights on team performance and operational outcomes. • Facilitate communication between department managers to promote a cohesive working environment and ensure alignment on objectives. • Mentor and develop Uganda Management team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, management, or public administration • Several years of experience in a field-based leadership or management role across Rural Districts of Uganda, preferably in a Social Enterprise. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members, stakeholders, and other external parties. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address problems quickly and effectively. • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. • A proven track record of leading and managing teams and the ability to motivate and inspire staff members. • A good understanding of the rural cultures, demographics and economic conditions of Rural Uganda. • Key Skills • Leadership: The ability to inspire and guide a team, delegate tasks effectively, and make tough decisions. • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and information clearly and persuasively. • Strategic thinking: The ability to see the big picture, anticipate future developments, and develop long-term plans and goals. • Problem-solving: The ability to identify and analyze problems and develop and implement effective solutions. • Budgeting and financial management: Knowledge of financial principles and the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively. • Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, including colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners. • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and environments and to be flexible in response to new challenges and opportunities. • Uganda Field Experience: In-depth knowledge of the rural economies in Uganda, including current trends and best practices in sales and marketing. • Driving: A valid driving permit and willingness to travel as often as needed to support field operations in Uganda.
