| Role purpose and context | |
| Key responsibilities | • Lead accounting, monthly management reporting, Board finance packs and reconciliations. • Prepare budgets, cash-flow forecasts, liquidity dashboards and variance analysis. • Strengthen treasury, payment, payroll, tax and NSSF controls and coordinate external audits. • Enforce procurement, supplier, stores, insurance, facilities and asset controls. • Support contract pricing, profitability analysis, cost optimisation and turnaround initiatives. • Improve accounting systems, access controls, audit trails and team performance. |
| Qualifications | • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field. • CPA Uganda full qualification preferred. |
| Experience | • At least 7 years’ relevant experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. • Strong experience in reporting, cash flow, budgeting, reconciliations and statutory compliance. • Working knowledge of Ugandan tax and social security requirements. • Experience overseeing procurement, administration, stores, assets or facilities; field-operations exposure is advantageous. • Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of Tally Prime, QuickBooks or equivalent systems |
