KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Core Project Oversight
• Supervise and coordinate three active construction/renovation projects:
• Warehouse Renovation: Oversee repairs to floors and windows, installation of basic electrical and lighting systems, renovation of toilet facilities, and painting of both the interior and exterior to ensure the warehouse is lease-ready.
• Apartment Renovation: Manage repainting of bedrooms, replacement of bathroom tiles and sanitary ware, and conversion of select bedrooms into kitchens.
• Warehouse-to-Apartment Conversion: Lead the transformation of a two-story, 2,200 m2 warehouse into 16-18 residential units, coordinating all aspects of design, planning, and execution.
• Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination
• Identify, vet, and compile contractor bids for tendering and selection.
• Liaise and coordinate with contractors, trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.), consultants (architects, MEP engineers), and local authorities as required.
• Serve as the central point of contact between site operations and management.
• Project Management & Budget Control
• Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Track and manage project budgets, ensuring expenditures remain within approved limits.
• Proactively highlight any concerns or variances in scope, cost, or timeline to the Director in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Residency status: Preferably Ugandan National or holder of Certificate of Residence
• Diploma or Degree, ideally in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture
• Linguistic skills: Fluent in English (Spoken & Written)
• Key Skills:
• Proven experience in construction supervision, preferably across residential and commercial renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and local regulations.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
