• Minimum Qualifications • A diploma in conference interpreting from a recognized institution. • Professional residence in Kenya, Uganda, or Tanzania. • Fluency in at least one A language (primary language) from: French, English, Arabic, Portuguese, Swahili. • Proficiency in at least one B language (secondary working language) from: French, English, Arabic, Portuguese, Swahili. • Knowledge of football or sports terminology is an advantage. • Required Skills • Excellent passive comprehension of the source language. • Accuracy in interpreting into the target language. • Ability to construct complete, coherent sentences. • Understanding of appropriate style and register for formal and dynamic settings. • Good diction and ability to keep pace with fast speakers. • Adaptability and willingness to travel and learn.
