The French Embassy in Uganda is pleased to announce the 2026–2027 Bourses Locales, dedicated to supporting motivated and deserving Ugandan students who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in French Language Studies at a recognized Ugandan university. This merit and financial-need-based scholarship program is part of the French Embassy’s commitment to academic cooperation and promotion of the study of the French language in Uganda.

• Be Ugandan nationals and residents of Uganda
• Hold an Ugandan A-Level Certificate or its equivalent
• Have offered and passed French at A-Level
• Have secured admission to a recognized Ugandan university
• Demonstrate genuine financial need and motivation to pursue studies in French
• Be committed to studying in Uganda for the entire duration of the program
