• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems. • Conduct scheduled servicing and ensure adherence to manufacturer standards. • Replace and repair parts such as brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and engines. • Carry out inspections and road tests to validate repairs. • Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults. • Maintain accurate job cards and service records. • Report any major repairs or warranty issues to the Workshop Manager. • Ensure cleanliness and safety in the workspace and adhere to all workshop policies. • Support and mentor junior technicians when required.

• Education: Diploma or equivalent technical certification in mechanical engineering. • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as a technician in a vehicle dealership or workshop. • Skills: • Strong mechanical and basic electrical repair knowledge. • Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic tools effectively. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability. • Understanding of health and safety regulations. • Working Conditions: • Full-time position based in Kampala, Uganda. • Physical work in a workshop setting; may include lifting, bending, and use of tools. • Occasional overtime or weekend duties depending on workload. • All candidates who meet the criteria outlined above are encouraged to apply under the job vacancy “QSSU- MAL–GAT– GENERAL AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN”
