GENERAL TRADE SALES MANAGER NEEDED.
Overal Purpose Of The Job
The Sales Manager – General Trade is responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributor networks, and ensuring strong market coverage across traditional retail channels (e.g., wholesalers, kiosks, small shops & informal traders). The role focuses on achieving revenue targets, building relationships, and executing trade strategies effectively.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and distribution targets
- Manage and grow distributor and wholesaler networks, ensuring stock availability
- Expand market coverage by onboarding new outlets and strengthening existing ones
- Lead, coach, and monitor field sales teams to drive performance
- Execute trade promotions and ensure strong in-store visibility and merchandising
- Track sales performance, analyze market trends and report insights

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in general trade/FMCG
- Strong understanding of traditional retail channels
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent leadership and negotiation skills
- Computer knowledge – Microsoft office suite
- Valid driving license with not less than 3 years’ experience.
