The Communications Graduate Intern will help enhance AIRD’s visibility and storytelling by supporting various communication and branding initiatives. The intern will collaborate closely with the Communications & Marketing Manager and assist in managing digital platforms, creating visual content, and developing communication materials that showcase AIRD’s work and impact.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Social Media Management • Regularly post and schedule engaging content across AIRD’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram). • Monitor audience engagement and provide recommendations to improve reach and interaction. • Assist in drafting captions and selecting visuals for social media posts. • Graphic Design & Content Development • Design flyers, infographics, bulletins, and capacity statements that effectively communicate AIRD’s work. • Create visually appealing PowerPoint templates for internal and external use. • Support the development of branded social media templates incorporating AIRD’s green theme, field photos, and informative content. • Storytelling & Visibility Enhancement • Collect and organize field photos and success stories that showcase AIRD’s impact. • Draft short human-interest stories for digital platforms. • Assist in compiling content for AIRD’s quarterly bulletin or newsletter. • Upload and manage content on the organization’s website. • Administrative Support • Assist in organizing and archiving communication materials. • Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative communication ideas. • Support other communication-related duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field. • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. • Basic graphic design proficiency (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools). • Familiarity with social media management and content scheduling. • Interest in humanitarian work and international development. • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines. • Knowledge in French is an added advantage
