• The IT Assistant will: • Provide first-level IT support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment including computers, printers, and peripherals. • Support the administration of IT systems, including email, file sharing, and security protocols. • Support users with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. • Assist in network administration tasks, including setting up user accounts and managing access permissions. • Support IT projects and new technology implementations as directed by the Head of ICT. • Provide IT support to staff on business support systems such as Financial Systems – Infor SunSystem and HRMS – SAGE 300 People. • Assist in maintaining IT inventory and documentation. • Ensure timely software updates, patches, and antivirus management. • Liaise with local vendors and suppliers for repairs, procurement, and maintenance of IT resources. • Perform other IT-related tasks as required.

• Academic Qualification • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • Experience and technical competencies • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT support or a similar role. • Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking. • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues. • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and IT best practices. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Customer-oriented approach with a proactive attitude. • Prior experience with SunSystems and SAGE 300 is an added advantage. • Skills and competencies • Technical proficiency in IT systems and troubleshooting. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. • LANGUAGES • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French language is an added advantage. • REMUNERATION • Negotiable with IGAD salary scale and policy and based on applicant’s qualification and experience.
