BethanyKids Uganda is a Christian-based non-profit organization serving children born with medically treatable conditions. Our mission is to improve access to compassionate healthcare for children across Africa.To strengthen our multidisciplinary team, we invite qualified and passionate individuals to apply for the following positions:

1. Occupational Therapist (01 Position)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to children with disabilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Train caregivers and staff on home-based rehabilitation activities
  • Participate in outreach, follow-ups, and multidisciplinary case reviews
  • Maintain accurate therapy documentation and reports

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience (NGO setting is an added advantage)
  • Strong child-centered and family-focused approach
  • Willingness to work in community and outreach settings

2. Physiotherapists (02 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and rehabilitate children with physical disabilities
  • Support post-surgical rehabilitation programs
  • Guide caregivers on therapeutic exercises and positioning
  • Participate in camps, outreaches, and follow-up programs
  • Prepare therapy reports and patient records

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council
  • Practical experience in pediatric rehabilitation preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

3. Social Worker (01 Position)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychosocial support to children and families
  • Conduct family assessments and home visits
  • Support child protection and safeguarding processes
  • Coordinate referrals and community linkages
  • Document social work interventions and reports

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work or related field
  • Registered with the relevant professional body
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families
  • Knowledge of child protection principles
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

4. Child Mentor (01 Position)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and life-skills support to children
  • Support children’s emotional, social, and spiritual development
  • Assist in structured activities, play therapy, and follow-ups
  • Work closely with social workers and therapists
  • Promote positive behavior and child wellbeing

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Social Work, Education, Child Development, or related field
  • Experience working with children is essential
  • High level of empathy, patience, and integrity
  • Understanding of child safeguarding principles
  • Commitment to Christian values

5. IT / Data Officer (01 Position)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage organizational data systems and databases
  • Support data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting
  • Maintain basic IT infrastructure and user support
  • Ensure data protection, security, and confidentiality
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and donor reporting needs

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience in data management and reporting tools (Excel, databases)
  • Knowledge of data protection and ICT best practices
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience in NGO setting is an added advantage
