• Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC): • Perform QA/QC procedures, including internal QC and proficiency testing (PT), as outlined in the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Safety Compliance: • Review and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to internationally recognized laboratory safety standards. • Specimen Management: • Conduct specimen collection, documentation, accessioning, and examination following ISO 15189 standards. • Equipment Maintenance: • Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment according to the service schedule. • Regularly monitor equipment and environmental conditions to ensure optimal functionality. • Inventory Management: • Forecast the need for laboratory reagents and supplies for various sections. • Request necessary inventory from the laboratory store. • Result Reporting: • Review, report, and release laboratory results accurately and in a timely manner.

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field. • Certification: Valid Allied Health Extract or APL. • Additional Knowledge: Training or knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) standards, such as ISO 15189, is an added advantage.
