• Perform scheduled maintenance and routine inspections on company vehicles to prevent mechanical issues and ensure roadworthiness. • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults related to engines, suspensions, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components. • Keep accurate service and maintenance records, ensuring that each vehicle’s file is up to date and all services are logged. • Respond to vehicle breakdowns promptly and carry out on-site repairs where possible to minimize downtime. • Monitor inventory levels for spare parts, tools, and supplies, and raise timely requisitions for needed items. • Liaise with external service providers for specialized repairs or parts procurement when necessary. • Ensure vehicles meet all regulatory requirements, including passing technical inspections and maintaining valid insurance and registration. • Provide reports and technical advice to management on vehicle conditions, servicing needs, and repair schedules. • Follow health and safety protocols when working in the garage or on the field, ensuring a safe work environment.

• National Certificate in Automotive Mechanics (required) • Valid Ugandan Driving License – minimum Class B (required) • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a busy workshop or transport-based organization • Experience with both petrol and diesel engines • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and basic computer literacy
