KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implementation, and execution of the unit QHSE strategy in alignment with regional QHSE objectives and policies.
• Maintain and implement culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality within all operational areas.
• Management of Quality Controllers.
• Ensure 100% hygiene compliance for the entire unit.
• Ensure full preparation and presence for internal audits
• Ensure that all supplier audits are done timeously
• Preparation for all external audits, including clients.
• Ensure effective Customer complaint investigation and response.
• Lead the implementation and management of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure the seamless integration of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in the unit.
• Ensure that IMS processes are consistently applied across all departments, aligning with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22001 ,ISO 45001) and other relevant industry standards.
• Deal with any quality, food safety and hygiene related non-conformances.
• Implement, and manage the organization’s cleaning and pest control programs, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support in implementing sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact, including waste management, resource efficiency, and pollution prevention.
• Oversee all quality checks and schedule gemba walks
• Oversee all food safety and hygiene practices, as well as the efficiency thereof through micro sampling.
• Oversee HACCP electronic processes and procedures.
• Ensure all training is carried out effectively
• Support in timeous QHSE & CSR submissions.
• Monitor and maintain glass and foreign object control.
• Preparation of staff roster (QC) and duties.
• Must conduct regular meetings with your team and oversee the progress of KPIs and other Quality Indicators.
• Must prepare audit reports for every external audit within 48 hours; and
• Ensure that Micro swabbing and sampling is done
• Must be fully aware of Allergen identification
• Ensure that all allergen’s are declared accordingly
• Ensures that FEFO and stock rotation is followed
• Monitors chlorination of water and works closely with maintenance department
• Ensures that all first aid boxes are fully stocked to ensure proper usage
