As a Research Assistant (also known as Survey Enumerator) at 60 Decibels, you will be responsible for conducting phone surveys with customers and beneficiaries of our clients’ services. Your role is crucial in ensuring high-quality customer insights, while maintaining data integrity and governance protocols. This is a fully remote position with performance-based contracts and daily survey targets.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Project Onboarding: Participate in project onboarding calls to understand project contexts before starting surveys.
• Conduct Surveys: Call respondents (customers/beneficiaries) to conduct surveys, ensuring accurate respondent identification.
• Explain Procedures: Clearly explain the survey objectives and procedures, addressing any respondent questions or concerns.
• Achieve Targets: Meet daily survey completion targets within specified timeframes and promptly report any obstacles to the project team.
• Data Entry: Accurately record survey responses into the 60dB platform, ensuring no paraphrasing or summarizing of responses.
• Project Communication: Communicate project progress, raise concerns, and seek clarification as needed.
• Quality Checks: Review and address quality feedback within the agreed timeline, keeping the team informed of your progress.
• Maintain Data Integrity: Strictly adhere to procedures to uphold data privacy and integrity, avoiding falsification or inaccurate data.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Organisation & Communication Skills: Ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate effectively with the 60dB team via email and Slack.
• Relationship Building: Ability to build rapport with respondents from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure precise data entry, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
• English Proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to interact with the team and translate responses accurately.
• Work Readiness: Access to a stable phone, laptop/computer, and reliable internet with a quiet work environment.
• Tech Proficiency: Knowledge of data collection applications is a plus.
• Previous experience in data collection, market research, or working as an Enumerator is preferred.
• Experience in customer service or call center roles is a plus.
• Prior experience in the social sector is a bonus.
