As Ntake Bakery & Company Limited continues to grow and expand across East Africa,
we are seeking highly motivated, skilled, and detail-oriented professionals to join our
team as Safety Officers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance workplace
safety, enforce health and safety standards, prevent accidents, and promote
operational efficiency and quality management across our bakery, flour mill,
confectionery, and tissue manufacturing operations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies across all
manufacturing lines.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with
recommended corrective actions.
• Promote and enforce safe working practices, including machinery operation,
chemical handling, fire safety, and emergency response procedures.
• Deliver safety training programs for all employees.
• Maintain accurate safety records and reports for management and regulatory
compliance.
• Ensure compliance with local safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Foster a safety-first culture across all departments, including production,
maintenance, and logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or
related field.
• Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent)
is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food
or paper production.
• Knowledge of safety legislation and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Level of Education: Bachelor degree
