• Ensure all security clearance requests are accurate and complete, maintaining adherence to UN Security Management System (UNSMS) standards and WFP Security policies. • Track and report compliance with security-related submission deadlines to ensure adherence to operational requirements. • Monitor and manage travel tracking systems, ensuring compliance with established travel windows and security protocols. • Consolidate security-related budget inputs from Area and Field Offices to assist the Head of Security in making informed financial decisions. • Facilitate the procurement of security equipment and maintain accurate tracking of assets to enhance accountability and resource management. • Apply a thorough understanding of UNSMS standards and WFP Security policies to support the implementation of security measures. • Assist in the implementation of security operations to ensure the safety and security of WFP staff, assets, and operations. • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the objectives of the Security Unit.

• Education: • The ideal candidate for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Security Intern job should hold a university degree in International Relations, Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, or any other related field. • Experience and Skills: • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, digital mapping and/or GIS system. • Ability to travel on short notice. • Fluency in English (level C) including excellent writing and reading skills required. • Ability to speak, read, and understand local Ugandan languages of the duty station is an added advantage.
