Kampala, Uganda.

Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as
needed to meet business needs.
• Supervise and control the daily activities of the Kampala/Bulk Warehouse.
• Supervise Kampala/Bulk Warehouse staff.
• Assist with the re-packing/arranging of goods within the Warehouse.
• Responsible for receiving, picking, packing, checking and despatching of goods according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Off-load/load containers and trucks, inbound and outbound, for the Warehouse.
• Assist in the monthly/daily stocktaking cycle counts when required.
• Ensure that the entire Warehouse is always kept clean and tidy.
• Ensure stock rotation (FIFO) is done correctly depending on shelf-life requirements.
• Ensure correct shipping of all goods to 3rd Party Packers.
• Adhere to all OHASA regulations and requirements.
• Check and sign for the correct product and quantities when loading trucks — both when delivering to and collecting from suppliers.
• Maintain a record sheet of all daily activities, for example, daily cycle counts.
• Receive stock from the bulk warehouse according to Policies & Procedures; enter all stock receipts into the system.
• Take responsibility for allstock adjustments in the Downtown warehouse.
• Ensure monthly reports (stock take, batch, temperature) are completed and sent to South Africa in good time.
• Train warehouse staff on Exigo & Sage procedures and warehousing procedures.
• Open and close the Kampala/Bulk Distribution Centre.
• Assist at company events, expos and conventions as required.

Candidate Profile — What We Are Looking For
The ideal Senior Warehouse Controller is a highly reliable, safety-conscious and detail-oriented
professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-skilled warehousing environment. This is not just a stock-handling role — it demands supervisory capability, initiative, and the ability to manage people and processes while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

Must Have

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent
• Good communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Good command of English – verbal and written
• Basic mathematical skills – able to work with figures and calculations
• Ability to follow all reasonable instructions from the Warehouse Manager and/or Supervisor
• Ability to work closely and amicably with fellow colleagues

• Ability to work at a height of 12 metres
• Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Experience with warehouse management systems (e.g. Exigo & Sage)
• Working knowledge of OHASA regulations and warehouse safety standards
• Ability to interact with Distributors – courteous, polite and well-mannered at all times
• Experience with stock control, cycle counts and FIFO stock rotation

around deadline-driven despatch cycles.
• Customer-Care Orientated. This role interacts directly with Distributors, suppliers and
colleagues, and requires courteous, professional communication at all times.
