Job title: Utilities Maintenance Technician

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Perform maintenance work on plant equipment e.g. ups, Generators, elevators, transformers. 

• Diagnose, clean, repair, and replace defective parts of machines. 

• Draft technical data sheets (maintenance of files of machines) and information at level of computerized maintenance management system. 

• Participate in the improvement of maintenance procedures. 

• Participate in the implementation of effective maintenance procedures which include efficiency of machines. 

• Provide technical support to the maintenance team consistently where need arises. 

• Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance on all machines as directed by the maintenance manager. 

• Perform any other task as per management request.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

 

• A minimum of a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or any relevant discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.

• Should be knowledgeable on high voltage systems, troubleshooting electric panels.

• Work experience in power generation with diesel generators/transformers. 

• Basic knowledge on pumps, chillers, boilers and air compressors.

• Good reporting skills.
