Yalelo Uganda is seeking a creative and dynamic Visual & Digital Communications Assistant to support the development and execution of digital marketing content. This role will focus on creating impactful visual designs, managing social media platforms, and ensuring consistent brand communication across all digital channels.
The ideal candidate will be up to date with current digital trends and possess a keen eye for detail, storytelling, and design.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and produce a variety of marketing materials—print, digital, and social media—that align with Yalelo Uganda’s brand identity.
• Manage and grow Yalelo Uganda’s digital presence by creating compelling visual content (static and animated) for all social media platforms.
• Track and report the performance of digital campaigns, analyzing key metrics (KPIs and ROI) to optimize engagement.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Yalelo brand, ensuring brand consistency across all messaging and content.
• Create engaging multimedia content including videos, blogs, infographics, and forum posts to support campaigns.
• Stay updated on the latest digital marketing and social media trends; incorporate innovative tools and strategies into campaigns.
• Build and manage customer engagement programs to increase online interaction and brand loyalty.
• Collaborate with the wider marketing team to integrate digital efforts with experiential, PR, and in-store marketing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of professional experience in graphic design, digital marketing, or visual communication.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design work (required).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and MS Office tools.
• Hands-on experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter) for business communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to receive feedback and adapt designs as needed.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
