• Warehouse Operations: • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of all goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity. • Develop and implement efficient warehouse policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to ensure a smooth workflow and compliance with company standards. • Manage and maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the warehouse environment. • Oversee the maintenance and effective use of all warehouse vehicles, machinery, and equipment, such as forklifts. • Inventory Management: • Maintain accurate inventory records through a systematic approach to stock control. • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts, reconciling physical counts with the automated system. • Implement and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, generate reports, and improve overall operations. • Analyze data to identify trends, forecast future capacity requirements, and prevent stockouts or overstocking. • Logistics & Supply Chain: • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., sales, workshop, procurement) to ensure that material requirements are met and services are of the highest quality. • Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to schedule inbound and outbound shipments and resolve any logistics issues. • Ensure all documentation related to goods-in and goods-out is accurate and up-to-date. • Team Leadership and Management: • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management. • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and employee engagement. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve team productivity and accuracy. • Health, Safety, and Security: • Develop, implement, and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations in Uganda. • Conduct risk assessments and ensure all hazardous materials are stored in accordance with requirements. • Establish and monitor high standards of security for the warehouse and its stock. • Uganda job market • Performance Monitoring: • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the warehouse, such as order fulfillment rates, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. • Generate regular reports for senior management on warehouse activities and performance. • Continuously review operations to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or in a similar supervisory role, preferably within the automotive, machinery, or heavy equipment industry. • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics processes. • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software. • Exceptional leadership, people management, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations in Uganda.
